Here's a few pictures of my 1974
Plymouth Trailduster AKA Budget Buster II, AKA Betsy. This truck was
purchased brand new in Bakersfield, CA by my dad and given to me in
1994 for my 16th birthday! Thanks Mom & Dad! Over the years it's
gone through many changes and modifications.
She has a very strong 360 engine bored .20 over, an Edelbrock
Performer RPM intake manifold, Holly double pumper, Accel Super
coil, Crower Roller cam with .534" lift and Crane roller tip
rockers, the stock heads were milled for 10.5:1 compression and the
exhaust flows through headers and 3" Flowmaster exhaust (sounds very
mean). The transmission is a Torqueflite 727 with shift kit, deep
pan, and TCI high stall speed torque converter shifted by a B&M
ratchet shifter. The transfer case is a NP 203 with partime kit.
A six inch skyjacker suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift rides on
38.5 by 15 tires TSL Boggers. The front end is a 1976 Chevy Dana 44
with 3.73 gears and locking hubs. The rear end is a 1985 Chevy 10
bolt with 3.73 gears... soon to be upgraded to D 60's or 70's with
4.88 or 5.13 gears!
The front seats are racing buckets with 5 point harnesses and the
stock back bench seat was replaced with the stock front bucket
seats. Currently working on fixing some rust spots and a custom
panel top. Also looking for beefier drivetrain mentioned earlier!
